IRS begin efile testing with 2017 early tax refund acceptance

The IRS have accepted many 2017 tax refunds early so far this tax season

Last week the IRS opened up the test tax filing season with many 2017 early tax refund acceptance notices. IRS Where’s My Refund updated with acceptance status for those who filed as early as January 5th, 2017. We updated our 2017 Refund Schedule to estimate when the early tax filers will get their 2017 tax refunds.

This is all speculation but in previous years the IRS has had early tax filing as well.

We estimate that those who were accepted early can expect their 2017 tax refunds as early as the end of this week, but at the latest the end of next week(January 27th.) This is all speculation, but in prior years we have seen this trend. We will continue to update our 2017 Refund Schedule as we find out any information regarding the 2017 tax filing season.

As a reminder, those who filed the Earned Income Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit will still have to wait until February 15th no matter if you are accepted early or not. The tax delay is still in fully affect.
