Jenny LittleGuest
do you know what 1541 reference code means. I do not have any offsets or anything like that
RefundSchedule.comKeymaster1541 is an an internal code that the IRS uses to identify returns that have been “Delayed”.
The doesn’t mean there is something wrong with your return, it could simply be that the IRS has an overflow of returns at this time and is behind schedule on issues refunds.
There are different reasons accounting for the 1541 reference number.
KimGuestDid you recieve your refund yet? I just got that same code yesterday.
BeckyGuestCurious if either of you have had any further update or rece8ved refund. I have the same code for at least a week.
JenniferGuestI also have this code delay. I called the number listed, and they can not give you any information regarding your refund until the 21 day window has passed.
TimGuestI got same code
I called and they said rudely
We sent you a notice last thursday Feb.9 and
Should recieve it by Feb 27th with instructions you need to complete in order to receive your refund..
I would definitely call IRSPissed OffGuestI filed electronically on Jan 18th 2017 and on Feb 18th 2017 i got this error code of 1541 I called and the IRS was very rude and said that my account (for the 4th year in a row) was selected for Identity verification review. they closed the review on Feb 10th 2017 and i will not get my return for 9 WEEKS from that date. even though there is NOTHING wrong with my filed return. and no one seems to be able to tell me why 9 weeks! they were VERY RUDE and refused to release any additional information as to why. and refused to escalate my call.
CatGuestI received ref. Code 1541 this morning and called and spoke with an IRS agent and they told me that everything looks good and that because of the Feb. 15 hold a lot of folks funds still have not been released. But everything looks fine the Rep. said. So hopefully she’s right. & my refund is well over $1,000 and I had claimed earned tax credit.
WsGuestSame boat, ref code 1541. Claimed two children and the EIC. Calling tomorrow to see what is going on.
AnnoyedGuestI filed back on January 15th, received this code this morning. I have been on hold for IRS for almost 2 hours! I knew there would be a delay, but this is ridiculous. I can’t even get anyone to answer to speak with. I have also not received anything in the mail. I am praying their isn’t anything wrong, but who knows.
LadyKGuestI am having the same issue. Called IRS on Monday and they stated that at that time, no letters have went out and to wait 45 days and if I have not received a letter nor my return then call them back. “WOW, REALLY?”
DeeGuestDId anybody get a answer after the 21 days as to what’s going on with the code 1541 I have to wait until march to find out mine. I called student loan in I don’t have a offset with this. I’m so confused
ConfusedGuestI got 1541 as well. I called the IRS and the rep I spoke to said they had no idea what it was and to wait the 21 days. He said he wasn’t sure why I was receiving it because they hadn’t processed my refund yet.
NikiGuestSo I received the code 1541 this morning when I checked my wmr status
